400th book on our Reading Platform InTechOpen: Artificial Neural Networks
We are proud to announce that our reading platform InTechOpen provides access, as of today, to 400 free open access books. We have just added the last title in the collection of 400. Our first open access book “Cutting Edge Robotics” was published in 2005, and we have celebrated our fifth anniversary in 2010 by releasing the revised and updated version of the book. While entering the 6th year of experience in book publishing, we would like to tell our growth story of jumping 200 books available for free, from 200 to 400, in just one year time. This a remarkable growth of 100% and it follows a trend of growing number of open access titles in nearly all open access databases and journal directories. We hope that the growth rate won’t stop at that number and that the following year will illustrate even a stronger wish of scientists to make their work available to a wider scientific community. Until then, we would like to thank you as our contributors, editors and readers and invite you to keep raising the awareness about the value of open research, and keep sharing the knowledge.
